The best piano and voice teacher on the planet!

By Melo

My mom, hoping “maybe one day I would be musical” named me “Melody”. It worked! Well…that and a lot of hard work! I sang my first solo at age three. By age seven, I was taking voice, piano and violin lessons. Singing was always my favorite (and the most fun to practice). Both my mother and grandmother were piano teachers. At age 12, I started teaching piano lessons to some of my mom’s “beginning students” and continued to teach all through high school. Growing up, I loved participating in various musicals, school and church choirs, jazz band, Northwest Girls Choir and the Seattle Youth Symphony. After graduating from high school, I stopped teaching piano and got some “real jobs”, but always missed teaching. Now I’m back to teaching private piano and voice lessons full-time. I’ve also had the honor of performing on stage at different venues including Benaroya Hall and The Paramount Theater (both in Seattle, WA) as well as other places across the United States and Canada. I love singing, playing piano, teaching, song writing and teaching my students. I teach my students to appreciate different musical genres while incorporating their own personal style into whatever they do, whether on the piano or vocally.

I love music, love teaching and absolutely love what I do!
